Where the Mind & Body Come Together “Just Right”
Mindful Support for Real Life
ChairFlow Yoga™ for Seniors
ChairFlow Yoga™ supports older adults with gentle stretching, memory, cognition, and pain management.
In an 8-week study of older adults with osteoarthritis, chair yoga significantly reduced pain interference and improved walking speed and fatigue.
Classes are 45 minutes in length and focus on mobility, strength, and flexibility along with mindfulness and breathwork.
I love making yoga accessible for everyone and utilizing the chair as a tool. I’m certified in SilverSneakers and am currently teaching at the Seven Hills Rec Center in Seven Hills, OH.
ChairFlow Yoga™ in the Workplace
ChairFlow Yoga™ is a perfect workplace wellness program. Just 15 minutes of chair yoga has been shown to reduce workplace stress and improve heart-rate balance, while employers that integrate yoga report higher morale, stronger team cohesion, and better communication along with reduced medical premiums.
The #1 driver of disability claims is musculoskeletal issues, and yoga significantly helps with musculoskeletal issues by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and posture while reducing pain and stiffness. Best of all, chair yoga can be done in work clothes, without breaking a sweat.
Class fee ranges from $75-$150 depending on the length of the class time and group size. Minimum of 10 attendees. Maximum depends on the facility accommodations.
Employer-Paid and Voluntary pricing available.
Broker/consultant referral fee available on a case by case basis.
Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental health issues affect 1 in 4 of US adults every year, yet many people don’t know how to support someone struggling with a mental health challenge.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a national certification offered through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and has been offered in the US since 2008.
Mental Health First Aid is very similar to CPR and First Aid-with a focus on Mental Health.
MHFA isn’t about diagnosing or treating anyone.
MHFA teaches us how to recognize the signs and symptoms of someone who is struggling with a mental health challenge, assess the situation, and encourage the appropriate help.
MHFA gives us the confidence we need to show up for those that need support.
Training seminars can be offered in-person or virtually.
Cost is $150 per person, which includes the MHFA licensing fee, manual, participant guide, and training.
Support with
Intention
Welcome to Goldilockx Yoga & Wellness where the Mind & Body come together “just right.”
I fell in love with yoga many years ago when cardio and weight training workouts were difficult after childbirth. Yoga quickly became my favorite way to exercise and find peace in my mind and body. What I love most about yoga is that it can be as challenging or as relaxing as you want it to be to support whatever you need in that moment.
I became a 200 Hour YTT certified yoga teacher several years ago. I wanted something just for me that would nourish my soul and didn’t have to do with my home, work, or kids, and sharing my love of yoga with others was the obvious choice. I feel happy when I practice yoga, but I feel joy when I teach for others.
Through Goldilockx Yoga & Wellness, I’m able to combine my 20+ years of experience in Employee Benefits along with my multiple fitness certifications to bring yoga into the workplace through an accessible and effective format, ChairFlow Yoga.
To ensure safety, I possess the following:
-200 Hour YTT certification
-AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor certification
-CPR/First Aid/AED certification
-Mental Health First Aid trainer certification
-SilverSneakers certification
-Professional liability insurance
“Yoga is the golden key that unlocks the door to peace, tranquility, and joy.” - B. K. S. Iyengar
I’m also extremely passionate about mental health support.
Through Goldilockx Yoga & Wellness, I offer the opportunity for adults to be trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
MHFA started in Australia in 2000 and came to the US in 2008. It’s a national certification through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing that is very similar to CPR and First Aid but the focus is on Mental Health. Please see the Mental Health First Aid page on this website for more details.
